Frontline Command drops you into compact battlefields where you never quite have enough troops. That scarcity is the whole appeal — you're constantly deciding where to pull back and where to push. It turns every map into a little puzzle.
The touch controls handle unit selection better than we expected. Dragging a box to grab a squad works cleanly, and you can queue orders without fumbling. On a smaller phone it gets a bit cramped during big fights, so a tablet is the sweet spot.
Missions are short enough to finish in a sitting, and the difficulty curve is fair. It asks you to learn rather than grind, which we appreciated.
